etiquette

  1. We come to the dojo 15 minutes before the start of the keiko (training) so that we have time to change and prepare the equipment.
  2.
  3. Entering and leaving the room, we make a rei (bow) towards the kamiza (the center of the room).
  4.
  5. We inform the sensei (leader) if we want to stop the training and leave the room during the exercises.
  6.
  7. Before training, we check that the bogu elements are in good condition and that the shinai slats are not cracked.
  8.
  9. After training, carefully fold the armor, hakama and keikogi.

  1. We place the equipment as close to the wall as possible. If we want to improve something, we move it with our hand.
  2.
  3. Avoid the equipment lying on the floor so as not to get caught on it.
  4.
  5. We let our partner practice at his pace, we don't show impatience and we don't correct him.
  6.
  7. We do not move between people set up for a fundraiser or matched in pairs.
